Alli Marie Makery is a maker-focused printable pattern studio that offers a fresh take on the joy of creating.

Meet the founder
As a formally trained art educator with more than a decade of experience working in museums, I love nothing more than encouraging others to look closely at the world around them for fresh inspiration.
You’ll find my value-packed crochet and embroidery patterns published under my brand Alli Marie Makery, which features highly-detailed, recipe-style projects filled with step-by-step photo tutorials free from medium-specific jargon or presumptions of prior experience. When you stitch up one of my patterns, I’ll be there every step of the way, decoding the process and equipping you with the expertise needed to modify, perfect, and love your work.
Originally from Texas, I now live in coastal Southern California with my best friend (aka husband) and daughter. I’m a long-time lover of classic mystery novels, Jane Austen (forever Team 1995 Pride and Prejudice!), and pumpkin bread.
Founded in 2020, my debut brand Stitchery & Co. now lives under Alli Marie Makery.

Value-packed printable patternsWith my patterns, you’re not simply getting the basic instructions; you’ll also learn the “why” behind each technique to build your own fiber art toolbox filled with tips and tricks.
My Guiding Principles
Expert Guidance & Releavant ResourcesWhen you pick up one of my patterns, you’ll be doing it for yourself, not by yourself.
Unlike most patterns available today, my patterns do not use standard shorthand or expect you to be able to “read” a pattern in the traditional sense. Instead, my instructions are always fully written out, so you’ll encounter minimal abbreviations or jargon. I’ll always explain in the listing which stitches or techniques you should be familiar with before starting the pattern; everything else will be covered with hand-illustrated diagrams, step-by-step photo tutorials, or links to external video content.
Approachable writing styleI write each pattern as if we’re already friends sitting down together about to make something beautiful. I’ll share my favorite tricks and tips, and never include unnecessary jargon or fiber-arts shorthand.
