I specialize in playful imagery and elevating would-be-basic projects into superior skill-building moments.
Patterns are the bread and butter of my business, but do not define my personal studio practice. Bursts of creativity and making are balanced with the daily rhythms of running a shop. Sometimes this works hand in hand and other times it looks more like “oh, I’ve got to jot this idea down before I forget!”. My digital portfolio features some of my favorite works: the ones that took on special meaning as gifts, the ones that were made slowly in the late-night hours, the ones created hastily to scratch an itch to experiment. These pieces are usually from my sketchbook and “practice projects,” although many go on to inspire published patterns.
