Chicago Lions

Stitched freehand during a trip to The Art Institute of Chicago in the fall of 2018, this mini embroidery hoop was one of my first experiments in “drawing with stitches.” I used black DMC thread (310) one linen fabric in a bamboo hoop, commemorating the iconic lion statues made in 1893 by Edward Kemeys.
